  2. Fireline Corporation is looking for experienced personnel:
    1. Fire Alarm Service Techs - 3-5 years experience with field troubleshooting, NICET II preferred.
    2. Suppression Systems Service Techs - 3-5 years experience in special hazards and suppression systems - NICET II preferred.
    3. Sprinkler System Service Techs - 3-5 years experience in field servicing sprinkler systems, NICET II preferred.
    4. Master Electrician - 3-5 years working in the field.

    We also have entry level positions:
    1. Helper in Systems Service - must be mechanically adept and have a positive attitude.
    2. Fire Extinguisher Shop tech - must be mechanically adept and have a positive attitude.

  3. Axiom is seeking an Engineering Technician for repair, installation, and maintenance, for design and operation of electrical and mechanical systems in support of the National Weather Service Sterling Field Support Center (SFSC)

    Responsibilities

    --Fabricate prototype and production instruments used in meteorology research
    --Manage the scheduling, procurement, assembly, production, and maintenance of meteorological instrumentation
    --Convey technical information, provide training, and present findings of engineering developments to internal and external audiences
    --Test and analyze machines, tools, and components to determine performance, strength, and stress tolerance.
    --Conduct period quality checks on equipment and systems to plan and schedule repairs.
    --Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures
    --Recommend cost-effective changes in equipment design to improve reliability and safety and timeliness.
    --Interpret engineering designs, plans, and diagrams.
    --Provide technical solution to mechanical problems.

    Qualifications:

    --Trade school/trade license minimum of 3 or more years of related experience building maintenance technology or relevant field or a certification in Engineering Technology from a community college or vocation-technical school.
    --Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures.
    --Effective problem- solving abilities with written and verbal communication skills.
    --Compliance with health/safety procedures and regulations.
    --Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
    --Proficiency in using hand tools and battery powered tools (Drills, saws, wrenches, etc.) as well some working knowledge of various shop equipment (drill press, table saw, threading machine, metal break., etc.).
    --Ability to read a measuring tape and precision measuring instruments, i.e., dial caliper.
    --Works well with a team but also as an individual.
    --Ability to work in less than ideal conditions (extreme heights, extreme cold, extreme heat).
    --Prior experience operating a boom lift and utilizing climbing/fall restraint gear.
    --Experience or ability to learn how to fabricate cables (soldering, crimping, installing heat shrink, continuity/ohm testing).
    --Strong use of logical reasoning and critical thinking.
    --Ability to read drawings and use the drawings to produce the desired results.
    --Strong organizational skills.
    --Ability to follow directions, but not blindly. If a better result is achievable, one should have the ability and willingness to verbalize and substantiate that claim
    --Legally eligible to work in the USA
    --Willing to travel
